Dairy Industry Newsletter Conference

At the start of the month, our CEO Anthony Connolly attended the Dairy Industry Newsletter Conference in London. Anthony got to hear from the following industry speakers about various topics including;

Overall, Anthony really enjoyed the two-day event, networking with attendees and listening to the opinions and knowledge the speakers offered.

UCD & SME's in Partnership

Our Dairy Processing Technical and Compliance Manager Lynn Harte attended the UCD and SME’s in Partnership on Wednesday 18th May.

Insight was shared with speakers including Mr. Phil Walker (MD EcoMeit) discussing ‘Climate Action Leadership is Good Business’, Mr. John Ward (Partner Head of Digital and Emerging technology at EY Ireland) discussing Tech Horizon Global Trends in Digitalisation’, Dr Barry Twomey (Director of UCD Advance Centre) discussing ‘Understanding & Accessing the UCD Talent Pool’ and Maeve Houlihan (Associate Dean UCD College of Business) discussing ‘Brave New World of Work’.

The conference concluded after a Q and A session with MC Anton Savage. Overall, Lynn gained some valuable insight from the knowledge and expertise from the industry speakers and enjoyed networking and meeting attendees of the conference.

Employee Spotlight

Introducing Adrian Murphy.

Adrian is one of our Software Test Engineers and has been a SoftTrace employee for 10 years.

Adrian’s primary role within the company is to test the software that our software development team have created.

Adrian had started his career in IT back in 1998 and since then a lot of his focus had been on both he dairy and pharma industries and would have a strong background in both.

When asked what aspect of his role he enjoys, Adrian had this to say;

‘I enjoy my role with SoftTrace because everyday brings a whole new set of challenges, from test to documentation to project management and everything in between.’

Adrian frequently travels with SoftTrace for sales trips and trade shows.

‘My role also entails travelling to the USA for both client visits and international dairy conferences, I was at the Cheese Expo 2022 in Milwaukee in April where I got to meet lots of new people within the dairy industry’.
